Hi, I’m Julia — I always dreamed of being an English teacher. When I worked at an international school, I admired the teachers and longed to be part of their team — but because of my dyslexia, I didn’t believe I could ever teach English. How could I help others when I didn’t feel confident in the language myself?
Two years later, everything changed — not in a classroom, but in a park in Australia.
While travelling, I started helping my French friends practise English. One of them had been in Australia for a year and was still at a low level, but he was determined, and I decided to help. Watching his progress was unforgettable.
In the outback of Western Australia, with my friends and my first unofficial students.
The first milestone was when he ran to me one morning, bursting with excitement because he had just dreamt in English for the first time. Later on in the trip, we were sitting in a park, deep in conversation, when I realised: “We’re talking politics in English!”
In that moment, I realised — maybe I could teach.
When he eventually left Australia, my friend rang me to say thank you. He told me he could now follow his dreams with his new level of English — and that I had helped him get there. He went on to work as a chef on a ship for a prince. A prince! Even now, I get goosebumps thinking about it.
That’s when I knew: teaching English wasn’t just something I could do, it was what I was meant to do.
I returned to Europe, trained in Barcelona, and finally made my dream a reality.
Since 2015, I’ve been teaching English to people from all over the world. Every student I meet reminds me why I love this work — the courage it takes to learn, the joy of connection, and the pride that comes with progress.
I’m not just a teacher — I’m also a learner. Because of my neurodivergence, I always struggled with languages at school. I wasn’t sure I could ever learn another language.
When I first moved to Spain, I arrived with little more than hola, adiós, por favor, gracias, and ¿dónde está? I even thought adiós meant “goodbye forever” and felt sad when people said it! In a tiny town where no one spoke English, I survived using Google Translate, hand gestures, and a lot of patience. Some days I felt lonely and frustrated, convinced I’d never understand.
Then, one day, it clicked. A single word, then a sentence. The moment passed quickly, but it gave me hope. Little by little, the world around me opened up, and I could understand more and more. I learned that language isn’t just about books — it’s about practice, connection, and discovering what works for you.
Now, years later, I love seeing how far I’ve come. My biggest compliment? When locals say my Spanish is better than theirs!
That experience — of struggle, of small wins, of learning step by step — made me the teacher I am today: patient, creative, and deeply aware of how hard (and how beautiful) learning a language can be. Now I bring that understanding into every lesson I teach. My classes are clear, flexible, and supportive, designed around each learner’s needs, pace, and strengths.
Whether you need English for life, work, or exams, I’ll help you find your voice, grow in confidence, and feel proud of every step you take.
