For all types of learners

There are four main ways people like to learn, called the VARK learning styles: Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic.

Some like pictures and charts, some learn by listening, some prefer reading and writing, and others learn best by doing and moving. Most people use a mix, but usually have one main style.

Below is a simple guide showing how each Made 4 You English workshop helps all types of learners:

Auditory Learners

Listen to me clearly pronouncing sounds.

Repeat sounds, words, and sentences.

Hear short video/audio clips to reinforce pronunciation.

Listen and shadow native speakers (me and the video) for words and in short sentences.

Practicing minimal pairs (two words that sound the same) to notice small differences in sounds.

Use of rhymes to practise the difficult sounds.

Visual Learners

See a visual prompt for every part: images, symbols, and videos.

Watch short video clips demonstrating correct mouth and tongue positions.

Watch slow-motion videos of lip/tongue movements

Observe diagrams for pronunciation and compare the two sounds.

Observe diagrams showing tongue placement, lip movement, or mouth shape.

Color-code changes and difficult sounds in words.

Read/write Learners

Words and sentences are displayed on screen for reference.

Time to take notes or write answers during activities, rather than typing.

Copy example sentences to practise spelling and structure.
